Homelessness and hunger ravage the Mid-Atlantic Region and significantly impact military veterans and their families. The MFRFMA is pursuing a project that addresses these issues through a newly developed Community Outreach Program initiative.
Our Community Outreach Program will provide support to communities throughout Maryland that will assist with both hunger and homelessness. Our immediate position is to partner with charitable organizations on the frontline of dealing with these issues.
One of the first recipients of our financial contribution is the Harford Family House in Aberdeen, Maryland. The Harford Family House is the largest provider of transitional housing for families with children experiencing homelessness and unaccompanied adults ages 18-24 in Harford County. They are among the only organizations in Harford County capable of keeping an intact family, including the father, together during the crisis of homelessness.
